Using our body to have fun.

Ms. Pam visited us this week and helped us use our large and small muscles to catch and throw an exercise ball. The children really enjoyed themselves and were really tired when we were finished. Parents if you have a exercise ball at home use it with your children. You can play catch, throw, bounce, and keep balance on the ball. All of these activities will help your child's physical development.

La Sra. Pam nos visitó esta semana y nos ayudó a usar los músculos grandes y pequeños para atrapar y lanzar una bola del ejercicio. Los niños realmente disfrutaron y fueron realmente cansado cuando terminamos. Los padres, si usted tiene una pelota de ejercicios en casa utilizan con sus hijos. Math Centers

SVN pre-k really enjoys math centers. In math centers the children can use numerous math materials such as magna-tiles, blocks, puzzles and manipulatives. The children use these materials to show their prior learnings, such as sorting, patterns, more and less, measuring, heavy and light, shapes, and number work.

SVN pre-k realmente disfruta de los centros de matemáticas. En los centros de matemáticas que los niños pueden usar materiales de matemáticas numerosos como Magna-tejas, bloques, rompecabezas y manipulativos. Los niños utilizan estos materiales para mostrar sus aprendizajes previos, como la clasificación, los patrones, más o menos, de medida, pesada y ligera, formas, y el trabajo número.

"It's a castle..No wait it is a spaceship!"

These are photos of the mysterious spaceship that landed in our classroom in December. The spaceship was actually intended to be a castle made from discarded boxes. But once it was done the kids decided that it looked more like a spaceship and it would be fun to fly. I agreed as I crawled inside!

Estas son las fotos de la misteriosa nave espacial que aterrizó en nuestro salón de clases en diciembre. La nave espacial era en realidad la intención de ser un castillo hecho con cajas de desecharse. Kid city

During center time the kids built this elaborate city that they were calling "Kid City". I was really blown away by the pre-planning and cooperation that they used in the building process. The kids used over 250 blocks to complete their project.

Please Feed The Birds!

This week the children made bird feeders with Mr. Elrod and Ms. Jennifer in art. The children worked real hard and placed them in the bushes of our courtyard for our hungry bird friends.

Book Buddies

Pre-k met up with our book buddies for a fun activity that allowed the 4th graders to help the pre-k create a vinn diagram of how they are alike and how they are different from the 4th grade. We had a great time working as a group
